Trainee Teaching Assistant
Location: Knotty Ash, Liverpool
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Flexible shift patterns
Pay Rate: £13.75 to £14.50 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Trainee Teaching Assistants to join our team in Knotty Ash and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. You will work across a variety of schools in the local area, gaining valuable experience and training.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils, ensuring a positive learning environment.
* Assist with small group and one-to-one interventions, including literacy and numeracy support.
* Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
* Help implement strategies from Thrive Approach training to promote emotional well-being.
* Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
* Supervise pupils during break times and assist with behaviour management.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and report to teaching staff.

Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience working with children in the UK (school or childcare setting) is highly desirable.
* Willingness to complete CPD training, including SLCN and Thrive Approach.
* Flexible and able to work across different schools in Knotty Ash.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and development.
