We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Duties
* Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with health and safety guidelines
* Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and ingredient handling
* Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
* Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods
* Help with serving food to customers or guests as required
* Follow all food safety protocols and proper storage procedures for ingredients and prepared dishes
* Assist in setting up and clearing down the kitchen area after service shifts
* Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with event-specific requirements
Qualifications
* Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
* Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
* Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, or culinary roles is desirable
