We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our dynamic team and drive operational efficiency within our manufacturing and warehousing processes.
Job Description:
As the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations process, ensuring the smooth and efficient production of our bespoke accessories. You will play a key role in managing our warehousing operations, optimising inventory control, and improving overall quality and productivity. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the furniture manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing and warehousing facilities.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
Warehousing & Inventory Control:
Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and FSC accreditation.
Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and reduce costs.
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers for timely material delivery.
Team Leadership:
Lead, train, and motivate a team of production and warehouse staff.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality craftsmanship.
Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections.
Address and resolve any production or quality issues promptly.
Health & Safety:
Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage operational budgets to achieve cost efficiency.
Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager in the furniture/wood working industry.
Strong knowledge of warehousing operations and inventory control.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in production management software.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred:
Experience with bespoke wooden drawer boxes and oak internal accessories.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
