Our client is currently looking for a Senior Commercial Account Handler, who is capable of managing the full process from broking to renewals and reports. As a leading independent firm in the insurance industry they cover home and personal assets insurance at every level. Their sociable and friendly team are excited to welcome a Senior Commercial Account Handler and embrace them into their culture of breakfast clubs and sports teams.
What you’ll be doing:
* Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction across complex insurance portfolios including PI, property, and motor-related risks.
* Policy Administration & Renewal: Manage the full lifecycle of insurance policies - quoting, binding, issuing documentation, and handling renewals - across multiple classes including commercial combined and excess of loss.
* Risk Assessment & Coverage Structuring: Analyze client exposures and tailor insurance solutions that align with their business needs, particularly in motor fleet and motor trade sectors.
* Claims Support & Liaison: Assist clients with claims processes, liaising with insurers and loss adjusters to ensure timely and fair resolution, especially in high-value or multi-class claims.
* Market Negotiation & Placement: Negotiate terms and premiums with insurers to secure competitive and comprehensive coverage, leveraging strong market relationships and technical knowledge.
* Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all client files, policy documents, and communications meet regulatory standards and internal quality controls, particularly in complex areas like excess of loss and PI.
What you will need:
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products (such as property, fleet or professional indemnity)
* Confident communicator with proven experience building and servicing a network.
* Organised and efficient
* 4+ years experience in a similar role, using insurance systems such as Acturis.
