Sandman Signature Sheffield Quays Hotel are recruiting a Deputy Head Housekeeper



Sandman Signature Sheffield Quays Hotel is looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Head Housekeeper to join the housekeeping leadership team at our 4-star hotel in Victoria Quays, Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about cleanliness, standards, and team leadership within a hospitality environment.

As Deputy Head Housekeeper, you will support the Head Housekeeper in the day-to-day running of the housekeeping department, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout the hotel at all times. You will play a key role in supervising the team, maintaining quality control and ensuring guests receive a consistently high level of service.



Key responsibilities of this role include:

* Assist the Head Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations
* Supervise and motivate housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry operatives and public area cleaners
* Conduct room and public area inspections to ensure 4-star standards are met
* Support staff training, onboarding and ongoing development
* Manage stock control, linen levels and housekeeping supplies
* Work with our Front Office team to handle guest requests and resolve issues professional and efficiently
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
* Liaise with our departmental heads to support the smooth running of the hotel
* Deputise for the Head Housekeeper in their absence



The ideal candidate:

* Has previous experience in a supervisory housekeeping role, ideally within a 4-star environment
* Strong attention to detail and high personal standards
* Confident leadership and excellent communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays
* A positive, hands-on attitude with a commitment to guest satisfaction
