We are looking for a professional, friendly, and highly organised Receptionist to join our welcoming primary school in Poole, which caters for pupils with SEMH, Autism, and behavioural needs.
This is a key role at the heart of our school, providing a warm first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors, and staff, while ensuring the smooth running of our busy front office.
The role is Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:00. It is a permanent position following a successful probation period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Acting as the first point of contact at reception – face-to-face and over the phone
* Managing enquiries and signposting effectively
* Providing efficient administrative support to the school team
* Ensuring safeguarding and visitor protocols are always followed
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience as a Receptionist or in an administrative role
* Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills
* A professional, calm, and approachable manner
* Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks
* An understanding of working in a school or SEN environment (desirable, not essential)
Essential Requirements:
* Available for an immediate start
* Ideally hold a valid DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
This is a full-time, term-time position with the opportunity to play an important part in supporting our school community.
