Due to ambitious growth plans and a very strong order book they are looking for a motivated and reliable Flexographic Print Operator to join their production team in Middlesbrough.
As a Flexographic Rotary Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic rotary presses to produce high-quality printed products in line with customer specifications and production targets.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail, consistency, and teamwork are key.
THE ROLE
10. You will operate flexographic printing presses Mark Andy 8 colour press with cold foil and lamination.
11. Optional training on UV INKJET and digital variable data press
12. You will be operating printing presses, including wide and/or narrow web flexographic presses
13. UV and water-based ink systems
14. You will operate Inline finishing equipment (die-cutting, laminating, varnishing, etc.)
15. Plate mounting and anilox systems
16. (Full training will be provided on specific machinery where required.)
17. Set up and run flexographic rotary presses efficiently and safely
18. Achieve consistent print quality to agreed standards
19. Monitor colour, registration, and print performance throughout production
20. Carry out basic maintenance and troubleshooting
21. Complete production paperwork and quality checks
22. Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet deadlines
23. Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures
24. Monitor machine performance and ensure consistent product quality
25. Carry out basic machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance
26. Assist with production tasks as required
THE PERSON
27. Previous print or machine experience is required for this role
28. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
29. Willingness to work 12 hour shifts as and when required during peak periods
30. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
31. Good communication and teamwork skills
32. Proven experience as a Flexographic Rotary Press Operator would be advantageous
33. Strong understanding of flexo printing processes and materials would be advantageous
34. Good mechanical awareness and problem-solving skills
35. High attention to detail and commitment to quality
36. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
