Job Title – Network Specialist
Location – Hemel Hempstead / London
Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to hold DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance. An allowance of £5k per annum will be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

As one of our Technical Specialists, you will lead in a diverse, fast-paced, and constantly evolving team. We use DevOps methodologies to deliver secure platforms that make a real difference to our customers. You will have architectural and operational responsibility for a large subsection of the technology stack on one of our projects. You will communicate directly with customers, respond to their challenges, and maintain relationships with stakeholders. You will manage your work stack within a small team, making priority decisions considering security, financial, and HR factors. You will work with your team to ensure your continued development and foster an inclusive culture.
What you’ll be doing
* Providing technical expertise and hands-on involvement in the design, build, deployment, integration, and maintenance of secure platforms.
* Applying industry-leading techniques and best practices to meet customer challenges.
* Working within existing monitoring, observability, and security frameworks to fulfill customer requirements.
* Integrating products to build end-to-end solutions addressing operational needs.
* Executing the technical roadmap and delivery plan.
* Identifying necessary design changes, improvements, and updates aligned with product support lifecycles.
* Engaging in self-development to expand knowledge of new technologies beyond current skills.
You’ll definitely have
* Experience in building and deploying network and infrastructure management and monitoring tools, with strong knowledge of SNMP, syslog, and IP networking.
* Experience deploying multi-vendor applications and integrating products, e.g., security tools, directory services, backup solutions.
* Experience building systems and applications to meet security standards, including producing high and low-level design documentation and build guides.
You might even have
* Skills in IT infrastructure deployment, including Microsoft Server and Red Hat OS.
* Experience with build and deployment tools such as MDT, SCCM, VMware templates.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, VMware, storage solutions, SAN networking, PKI, Transmission technology (L2), and database skills (SQL, Oracle).
* Experience supporting verification, validation, testing, troubleshooting, and vendor engagement.
