Milk Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of primary schools in South Manchester, Trafford and Stockport from September.
We work closely with a variety of welcoming and inclusive schools that are looking for experienced HLTAs to support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Whether you’re looking for a long-term placement, day-to-day flexibility, or the opportunity to gain experience in different school settings, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a fantastic opportunity for confident and adaptable HLTAs who enjoy making a positive impact in the classroom and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support teaching and learning within the classroom to help pupils make excellent progress
2. Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes
3. Lead whole-class learning sessions and provide classroom cover when required
4. Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and other professionals to meet pupils’ needs
5. Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
6. Contribute to creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
7. Must hold HLTA Status or an equivalent recognised qualification
8. Must have experience and confidence leading whole-class learning sessions and delivering pre-planned lessons
9. Must have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly KS1 and KS2
10. Must be able to work independently and use initiative when supporting teaching and learning
11. Strong behaviour management and communication skills
12. A flexible and proactive approach to working in different school environments
