Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Location: Plymouth, IN
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Inventory Specialist will support logistics and plant leaders related to material availability and inventory accuracy. The associate ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Conducts physical inventories and leads cycle counts. Analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies. Compiles and documents data on slow-moving/obsolete/end-of-life materials and processes ECN changes. Helps in correcting issues with closing work orders and communication between production, inventory control, and buyers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintains and updates records in ERP
* Performs physical inventories and cycle counts of materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock
* Investigates, recommends corrections, provides information, and makes necessary adjustments
* Reports discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
* Maintains and updates customer orders, back orders, and received materials with high accuracy
* Implements ECNs and other production issues as directed
* Works to achieve inventory reduction and customer service targets
* Assists Materials Manager with product lifecycle planning, product introductions, phase-in/out, and inventory planning
* Evaluates excess and slow-moving inventory, developing solutions to improve performance
* Delegates duties, leads team meetings, and reports to Materials Manager as needed
* Performs other related duties as assigned

* Maintains 5S guidelines in inventory areas
* Meets productivity standards and completes work timely
* Consistent attendance and punctuality
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
* High School diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
* 5+ years related experience or equivalent education and experience
* Experience with Inventory Control/Warehouse Management Software preferred
* 2+ years of cycle counting and inventory control experience preferred
* Basic math skills required
