Pay Rate: £150 – £220 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Temporary until 27th March 2026
Working Pattern: Part-Time (3 days per week – Monday to Wednesday)

GSL Education are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Hackney on a part-time, temporary basis. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a Music Teacher who enjoys practical music-making and is confident delivering both performance-based and technology-supported lessons.
In this Role, you will work closely with students to develop their musical skills, confidence, and creativity through instrumental practice, singing, and music technology. The successful Music Teacher will bring energy, adaptability, and strong subject knowledge to the classroom.
Key Responsibilities of the Music Teacher:
Deliver engaging and practical Music lessons to secondary-aged students
Teach basic piano, ukulele, and singing as core components of the curriculum
Support instrumental development and ensemble work
Integrate music technology into lessons where appropriate
Create an inclusive and motivating learning environment
Maintain positive classroom behaviour and student engagement
Essential & Desirable Requirements:
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Ability to play and teach basic piano, basic ukulele, and basic singing
An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
Preferred:
Ability to play bass guitar
Knowledge of Logic Pro
Experience with live and recorded music technology
A specialism in music technology is highly desirable
