The Role
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Lecturer in Hairdressing on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching and inspire students to excel in the dynamic and ever-evolving hairdressing industry.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
As a key member of the team, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development and delivery of outstanding learning experiences for students. Specific duties will include:
2. Delivering inclusive, high-standard teaching, learning, and assessment in Hairdressing.
3. Supporting curriculum design and helping to ensure programmes meet current regulations, specifications, and industry standards.
4. Monitoring and supporting student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression through tailored developmental guidance.
5. Actively contributing to student recruitment through interviews, open days, and guidance activities.
6. Maintaining current subject knowledge and effective teaching practices (digital and face-to-face), while contributing to wider professional practice and the academic community.
