Description About the job: Kent is looking for a ​Graduate Asset Integrity Mechanical Engineer​ to be based in ​Aberdeen.​ Joining our team, you would have the opportunity to work with and learn from technical experts and contribute to a variety of technically challenging and exciting projects. As a graduate in Aberdeen, you will be developing knowledge and experience by contributing to various Asset Integrity projects for a broad spectrum of clients and industries, including oil & gas and renewables and have opportunity to do offshore visits to our client’s global installations. The Kent Asset Integrity (AI) and Multidisciplinary team provides technical engineering consultancy to the energy and chemical industry for problems related to asset integrity, life extension and carbon footprint reduction just to name a few. Hybrid Working We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the offices three days a week. Unleash your energy Skills & Responsibilities: Functioning as part of a team of engineers and will mainly provide assistance to other engineers or be responsible under close supervision. Working with discipline related industry codes & standards. Complete Kent Graduate Development Programme. Assist in developing life extension plans for ageing assets Assist in improving efficiency of assets through inspection activities, development of risk-based inspection work scopes and operational support. Interfacing directly with clients, representing our teams to discuss engineering solutions to complex problems. Supporting our external markets, business development and work winning activities. Undertaking specific tasks / area of work as defined by the lead / principal / senior engineer. Executes allocated tasks within the requirements of the project execution plan. Executes work in compliance with client specifications, Kent’s ISO accredited QMS, and project specific procedures, guides and standards. Providing input to preparation of deliverables by other engineers. Providing input and support to decision making by other engineers. In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development. Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: Master’s Degree (MEng or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Degrees to be accredited by IMechE / EI (degrees recognised by the Engineering Council).​​ Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with others in the team as well as clients. Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills. Behaviour/ Core Competencies High level of MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams. Flexible, enthusiastic and methodical in your approach to project work. Self-motivated & comfortable taking responsibility across a range of tasks. A desire to work collaboratively with a curious approach, challenging yourself to find new solutions. Enthusiasm and drive to develop your skillset and seek out development opportunities within a supportive team. A passion for working in a consultancy environment.
