This flexible hybrid home/office role allows you to be based at any of our core locations of: London, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Woking. In this key role, team working is essential for your personal growth and our overall business strategy. As a Business Consultant you will engage directly with Business Customers for our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) space as we grow our products into the New Lumada Suite featuring Vegetation Management (HVM), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Asset Performance Management (APM), Asset Investment Planning (AIP) and Mobility (Field working solutions).
The Role:
1. Provide consulting services involving the formulation, project management, implementation, and ongoing use of Hitachi Energy’ commercial solutions in support of Customers’ business needs / processes.
2. Support the Sales Team during the Sales Cycle for Business Process, solution capability and implementation project expertise.
3. Support the delivery of new technology products including the AI developed vegetation management solution.
4. Budget: Be aware of project budgets and hours allowed for deliverables.
5. Follow work plans, quality requirements, schedules, and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility.
6. Provide business & solution consulting advice to effectively provide the customer with knowledge of best practice.
7. Demonstration of Hitachi Energy solutions to meet the Customer’s typical business needs.
8. Organise and execute business projects on behalf of our customers according to the client’s requirements.
9. Meet with assigned clients when needed and perform an initial assessment of a problematic situations.
10. Collate information about the client’s business through a variety of methods (workshops, shadowing, interviews, and surveys etc.)
11. Drive our internal product improvement.
Background
12. A bachelor’s or higher degree or acceptable equivalent related to the business area.
13. 5 years’ experience in project consultancy or relevant utility asset experience – within water/rail/gas/telecoms or electricity
14. Willing to collaborate across different countries with different time zones.
15. Recognised as possessing subject matter proficiency in relevant field.
16. Fluent spoken and written English (other languages are an advantage).
17. Experience of project implementation in the field of software deployment (such as SAP or Maximo) is an advantage.
