Project Accountant – Transformation & Strategic Investments
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-driven Project Accountant to join our Group Transformation Office. This is a unique opportunity to support large transformation and strategic investment programs across Europe and beyond, ensuring financial updates and reporting are accurate, insightful and timely. This role is based in London where we work 2-3 days per week from the office.

What you will be doing
* Support the preparation and updating of financial data across transformation and investment projects
* Assist in variance analysis of project costs and benefits, explaining drivers of performance
* Contribute to business cases by providing financial inputs (ROI, NPV, payback)
* Help forecast resource requirements and highlight risks or gaps in capacity
* Support forecasting, budgeting, and 5-year planning cycles to ensure transformation and investment impacts are fully reflected
* Partner with Transformation and other teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting
* Ensure costs and benefits are aligned with Group accounting standards
What we are looking for
* Strong experience in financial analysis, project accounting and transformation support
* Advanced Excel and modelling skills
* Familiarity with IFRS capitalization rules and capex governance processes
* Experience in cost capitalization, impairment, and business case validation
* Analytical mindset — able to reconcile data, spot variances, and test assumptions
* Able to manage detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture
* Proactive, resilient, and confident in challenging and supporting stakeholders
* Strong communicator with good judgement — able to collaborate, arbitrate and say “no” when needed
