Job Description:
Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents, offering challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.
We are looking to recruit a Lead Static (Tanks) Engineer on a 12-month contract based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role
Provides engineering leadership to the PMC mechanical team of the Project in the area of LNG storage tanks, atmospheric storage tanks, and bullets. During the EXECUTE phase, supervises the tank scope of work of the EPC Contractor, checks for contractual compliance, safety, and quality, managing multiple tasks and stakeholders, coordinating with the EPC Contractor, and ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities / Skills
Quality Assurance:
* Ensure all tank work meets the required quality standards.
* Participate in quality audits by the PMC quality group.
* Provide mechanical support in acceptance of concession requests and non-conformance.
* Contribute to detailed project planning for the tank subgroup, outlining activities, timelines, and milestones.
* Line manage the tank subgroup.
* Attend progress meetings and provide updates on budget and EPC progress.
* Produce weekly reports on EPC Contractor activities, highlighting concerns.
* Review tank design documents for compliance with specifications, safety, and standards.
* Address issues or concerns with the EPC Contractor.
* Review EPC Contractor documentation including requisitions, specifications, datasheets.
* Oversee procurement and supplier contract management for tank equipment.
* Attend bid clarification meetings as a RLNG representative.
* Review and present deviations against standard codes.
* Review final technical evaluation reports and provide feedback on scope of supply.
* Spot check EPC Contractor’s review of supplier documentation.
* Attend supplier HAZOP & FAT as RLNG representative.
* Complete supplier evaluation reports.
* Support the PMC construction team during tank construction activities.
* Assist with tank technical issues, including concession requests and site modifications.
* Support the commissioning team during mechanical equipment commissioning.
* Safeguard health and safety by maintaining safe work practices and complying with HSE requirements, intervening and reporting unsafe activities.
Experience:
* Skilled in LNG tank engineering and international design codes.
* Capable of reviewing equipment requisitions, datasheets, and specifications.
* Ability to perform tank design and specification of non-proprietary equipment (preferred).
* In-depth knowledge of operating assets or similar facilities.
* Experience in assessments and studies including Scope of Work, SOR, and Design Basis documentation.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Knowledge of Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS).
* Understanding of process safety and hazardous area requirements.
* Minimum 12 years of tank engineering experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries, including at least 5 years in EPC organizations.
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
