Are you a patient, engaging and adaptable Academic Tutor, HLTA or experienced educator looking for a rewarding role?
We are seeking a dedicated Academic Tutor to support students across Greater Manchester through a mix of online sessions, in-school teaching, and home-based tuition. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference within a growing specialist SEN provision.
About the Role
As an Academic Tutor, you will deliver tailored 1:1 and small group sessions to students with a range of additional needs. You will play a key role in re-engaging learners, supporting academic progress, and building confidence across core subjects.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering personalised, engaging lessons
Supporting students with diverse learning needs and barriers
Preparing pupils for functional skills, assessments and qualifications
Adapting teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles
Promoting student wellbeing and positive engagement
Ensuring safe and effective learning environments
Working closely with school staff, families and external professionalsWhat's on Offer

Experience in tutoring, teaching, or supporting learners (essential)
QTS/QTLS or degree-level education (desirable)
