Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator

About The Role
In this newly created role you will maintain and support the administration of the group health, safety and environmental management systems. Your tasks include organising safety advisor training days, audit schedules, safety committee meetings, regional management meetings and other events requiring attendance of the health and safety team.
Key Responsibilities
* Document Management
o Ensure review dates are met for Policies, Procedures, Risk Assessments, COSHH assessments and Training presentations.
* Coordinate Dates
o Six‑monthly depot audits
o Training dates and requirements
o Internal training days
* Portal Management
o RISQS
o ISO 45001
o Achilles
o Safe Contractor Online
* Wini (In‑house intranet)
o Updating safety alerts
o Keep insurance up to date
o Ensure H&S documents are up‑to‑date versions
o Accreditations
* Subcontractor Communications
o Issue safety alerts
o Organise inductions and re‑inductions
* Incident Investigations
o Sole point of contact for incident notifications.
o Ensure agreed actions from investigations are recorded and closed out.
* General Office Duties
o Taking minutes at meetings
o Proofreading reports and documents
o Organising travel and accommodation for Head of H&S
o Recording completed training and updating PIB
o Collating Evotix data and summary reports for Head of H&S
o Maintaining accident incident statistics and monthly updates
o Maintaining RAMs briefing records and staff training numbers
* Other Tasks
o Assisting with PQQs, accreditations and registrations
o Any other duties as agreed from time to time
o Any tasks the Group Head of Health & Safety deems necessary and appropriate

No experience necessary – all training will be provided. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, and possesses excellent communication skills. You should be able to manage a busy workload autonomously, be driven and have a good administration background.

Required Criteria
* IT literate – Word and Outlook are essential.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to proofread documents.
* High level of organisation.
