Job Description

South Devon College's Building Services Team are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to deliver inspirational teaching, learning, and assessment in Electrical Installation and related subjects. This is a combined role and involves both classroom-based delivery and workplace reviews and assessment of apprentices. You will coach and support students to achieve their qualifications and develop the skills needed for successful careers in the electrical industry. The ideal candidate will bring energy, passion, and industry expertise to create a dynamic learning environment that encourages ambition, confidence, and excellence in every student.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation, with at least 5 years relevant industry experience. You may have experience in coaching and mentoring with a keen interest/understanding of student-centred learning. You will have excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to working.


Benefits and Pay Details

Salary: £19,509.24 - £25,162.00 (£29,681.00 - £38,281.00 pro rata) plus excellent benefits

Contract Type: Permanent, part time. 24.32 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Location: Paignton, Devon


Responsibilities

* Deliver inspirational teaching, learning, and assessment in Electrical Installation and related subjects, including both classroom delivery and workplace reviews/assessments of apprentices.
* Coach and support students to achieve qualifications and develop skills for careers in the electrical industry.
* Create a dynamic learning environment that fosters ambition, confidence, and excellence.
* Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement within the Building Services Team.


Qualifications

* Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
* At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
* Experience in coaching and mentoring with an understanding of student-centred learning.
* Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to work.
