Head of Social & Content

This role is about building, shaping, and leading a household brand. Are you a visionary social leader who knows how to turn strategy into stories that connect?

We’re looking for a Head of Social & Content to shape and elevate the social and content direction of our client, who is a leading UK entertainment brand at a pivotal moment of transformation. This is a rare opportunity to lead from the front — uniting social, content, and creative strategy to redefine how a household name engages its audience across every channel.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of the brand’s entire social and content ecosystem, setting the vision and strategy across multiple platforms and leading a talented in-house team of creators, writers, and strategists. Your mission: to transform social from reactive posting to purposeful storytelling — delivering engaging, insight-driven content that cuts through culture and drives meaningful impact. You’ll also have the scope to reshape the structure and rhythm of the team, improving creative consistency and strengthening planning and delivery in a fast-paced, agency-style environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Define and deliver a unified social and content strategy that drives brand awareness, engagement, and commercial impact.
* Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team (15+ people) covering social, copy, design, and production — building a high-performance, collaborative culture.
* Oversee all social channels — from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube to LinkedIn and X — setting tone, voice, and creative direction.
* Conduct a full audit of current processes and BAU activity, aligning output with brand and business goals.
* Work cross-functionally with marketing, design, and product teams to integrate social across the customer journey.
* Champion cultural relevance — understanding audience trends, sports, and entertainment moments that connect emotionally with fans.
* Balance data and creativity: use insight to refine strategy, measure performance, and make decisions that elevate content impact.
* Manage agency partnerships and external collaborators, ensuring alignment and creative excellence.

About You

* Senior experience leading social and content strategy for a consumer-facing or entertainment brand.
* Deep understanding of social culture, trends, and performance metrics — ideally with experience in sports, lifestyle, or media-led environments.
* Proven ability to build and lead creative teams, restructure processes, and inspire performance.
* Equally comfortable developing strategy and getting hands-on with execution when needed.
* A confident communicator who can influence at senior levels and rally teams around a shared creative vision.
* Curious, culturally aware, and passionate about creating work that resonates.
