You will join the organisation as their first dedicated Cloud expertise but to be clear this is with a Software focus, it will not be suitable for those with an infrastructure only background. The first 6 months will be focussed on establishing a bespoke Cloud Environment for an existing product before moving onto wider company/project challenges Day to day tasks will include Own and lead cloud infrastructure implementation and integration Take the lead in cloud infrastructure provisioning, application deployment and management, primarily in Azure but also AWS Design, write and test code, refining and rewriting it as necessary, supporting and collaborating with other developers Contribute to the technical development of a core application Initial focus on compiler modernisation and license management deployment Ability to analyse user requirements and translate those into user stories. Research, design and write new software programs using current techniques and best practice Integrate existing software products and get incompatible platforms to work together What must you bring? Expert in cloud infrastructure, applications and deployments, primarily Azure but also AWS · Azure Cloud certification preferred 50/50 platform and infrastructure, expertise of implementing applications in the cloud, definitely not purely infrastructure type of person Competent with DevOps, Jenkins, Docker and CI/CD pipelines Some working experience of an Object Orientated Programming Language (C++ development would be ideal) Agile development methodology
