This role sits within the Service Management Capability as an IT Service Asset Analyst. You will own and deliver small‑scale services, or take responsibility for a component of a larger service, under the direction of a Delivery Manager or Senior Delivery Manager. You will manage service delivery against agreed cost, risk, quality, and service performance targets for both the client and Sopra Steria. You’ll proactively contribute to Sopra Steria’s business performance, productivity, account profitability, sustainability, and growth. Services typically include systems, applications, technical infrastructure, business processes, and IT service provision, delivered through multiple channels.
What you will be doing:
* Coordinate procurement for hardware, software, and support contracts: raise requisitions, evaluate quotes, place and manage purchase orders, and ensure compliance with policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
* Support business cases and service shaping (costs, commercials, risks); negotiate terms and SLAs where required; manage renewals, compliance, and supplier performance.
* Define and maintain service scope and deliverables; ensure new or changing services are fit for purpose and formally accepted; track KPIs/SLAs to evidence outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
* Set and manage service budgets; forecast and report performance; validate invoices, reconcile spend, and proactively identify cost efficiencies, automation opportunities, and service improvements.
* Understand client priorities for change, innovation, and transformation, and help shape inclusive, practical solutions to address their challenges.
* Support revenue, margin, and client value‑for‑money outcomes through effective service and asset management.
What you will bring:
* Experience managing service delivery to SLAs and KPIs.
* Experience in IT asset management, particularly software and hardware.
* Knowledge of ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
* ITIL Foundation (or willingness to achieve it).
* A strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a focus on delivering a high‑quality service.
* Confidence to influence decisions and challenge constructively when needed.
It would be great if you had:
* Relevant sector experience.
* Experience in contract and supplier management.
* Membership of a recognised professional IT body.
* A track record of working with or managing budgets.
* Understanding of different service delivery models.
