Location

Hemlock Stone School, Nottinghamshire NG9 8GA


Salary

£50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience, plus a £3,000 Welcome Bonus (paid as £1,500 after one month and a further £1,500 after completing the final probation period).


Hours & Contract

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Permanent, 52 weeks.

The Role

We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in‑house Clinical Team at Hemlock Stone School. The role will operate in partnership with the school Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. It involves both clinical leadership and a therapeutic caseload, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex profiles such as autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.


Responsibilities

* Clinically lead the in‑house clinical team, ensuring high‑quality practice and professional development.
* Work collaboratively with the SLT and Regional Clinical Lead to integrate services across the school.
* Provide assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex needs, aligning with EHCP plans and target‑led outcomes.
* Lead line management of onsite clinical team members and drive service development in partnership with SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
* Maintain a person‑centred, safeguarding‑led approach, ensuring pupils are heard, respected and involved in decisions.


Essential Criteria

* Degree qualification in OT, SALT or Psychotherapy.
* Leadership and management experience (minimum 5 years of clinical experience).
* Valid and up‑to‑date professional registration and membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., BPS).
* Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities.
* Experience in providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and dynamic within a growing clinical service.
* Experience in multi‑professional teamwork or service delivery within the designated specialty preferred.
* Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
