Rate of Pay: £15.34- £19.96 per hour
Summary:
The Senior Family Support Worker uses professional knowledge and skills to partner with children, young people, families, and other professionals. The role is to lead and work within a multi-disciplinary and professional integrated family support and safeguarding service, providing a timely response to the needs of children, young people, and their families in line with local policies. This position involves being the lead practitioner in coordinating the implementation of multi-agency intervention plans, using a common assessment, and delivering evidence-based interventions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the lead professional for an allocated caseload of children and families
* Coordinate and deliver early help work across Family Support/Think Family to achieve good outcomes for children and families.
* Convene, organise and chair case planning and review meetings, including acting as lead professional under a multi-agency Integrated Support Plan where appropriate.
* Actively promote the welfare and uphold the safeguarding of children and young people.

Essentials:
* The role requires professional knowledge and skills to work in partnership with children, young people, their families, and other practitioners/professionals
* Experience in establishing a high standard of practice in delivering a family support service that achieves family outcomes is essential.
* Experience or capacity to act as a champion in a specific practice area (e.g., domestic violence, substance misuse, disability, parenting).
