Fabrication Engineer (Stainless Steel / Aluminium) Location: Liversedge, WF15 The Role As a Fabrication Engineer, you will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, and finishing of high-quality components, primarily using stainless steel and aluminium. Key responsibilities * TIG and MIG welding to a high standard * Fabricating components from technical drawings * Sheet metal work including forming and cutting * Operating machinery such as CNC press brakes and powered guillotines (advantageous) * Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards * Working independently and as part of a small, skilled team You will receive full product training, ongoing support, and in-house health & safety qualifications upon completion of initial training. About You We are looking for someone who is skilled, reliable, and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will have: * A relevant qualification (minimum City & Guilds or equivalent preferred) * At least 2 years’ experience in a sheet metal fabrication role * Strong TIG and MIG welding experience in stainless steel and aluminium (essential) * Experience with CNC press brake and guillotine machinery (advantageous) Working Hours * Standard hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (Monday to Friday) * Breaks: * 15-minute paid morning break * 15-minute paid afternoon break * 30-minute unpaid lunch Overtime Options Following induction, employees can choose from three working patterns: * Option 1 (Early Finish Friday): 06:00 – 16:30 (Mon–Thu) and 06:00 – 14:00 (Fri) Overtime currently unrestricted * Option 2: 08:00 – 16:30 (Mon–Fri) No overtime * Option 3: 08:00 – 16:30 (Mon–Fri) Overtime available subject to agreement (currently widely available) Benefits & Remuneration * Overtime paid at enhanced rates after 40 hours * Quarterly productivity/performance bonus (not guaranteed, but typically paid) * 28 days holiday, rising to 33 days with length of service * Company pension scheme * Uniform provided * Specialist tools provided * Opportunity to purchase tools at heavily discounted prices
