Job Description:
Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Cost Engineer to work for one of our clients based in Hull, UK.
You will require 'Right to Work' in UK, unfortunately no sponsorship will be available for this role.
This commitment is delivered by an experienced and highly competent workforce of over 4,500 employees operating from 14 offices in strategic industrial hubs, upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality.
The successful Cost Engineer will play a central role in driving financial performance and ensuring commercial control across high-value infrastructure projects. This position requires a sharp analytical mind, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and subcontractors. From forecasting and risk analysis to cost reporting and change management, the Cost Engineer will be instrumental in delivering accurate insights that support strategic decision-making and project success.
Key responsibilities include
* Producing accurate financial data for monthly P&L submissions
* Forecasting costs versus budgets and conducting risk assessments
* Managing cost provisions for materials, subcontractors, and plant
* Leading subcontractor meetings and handling Early Warning notifications
* Supporting change management and value determination processes
Experience
* NEC 4 Option B Contracts
* Knowledge of NAECI Agreement
* Experience on major Construction Projects
* Standard Method of Measurement
* Strong bias to Contractor working
