Robert Half are working with a passionate non-for-profit human rights organisation based in Bath to recruit an Interim Head of Finance to cover until they recruit a permanent placement. Reporting directly to the CEO and SMT - this is an all-encompassing role including day-to-day operations as well as an opportunity to support with bids/tenders.
The Role:
5. Management of estimated £40m of grant funds
6. Manage a team of 2
7. Overseeing of month-end close
8. Producing final annual statutory accounts
9. Leading of audits
10. Lead and work closely with the Financial Manager and wider SMT on commercial tenders, including budgeting, written justifications, and financial management arrangements
11. Working with the CEO and Senior Management Team to develop organisation budgets; functional and practice budgets; and contracts and target revenue contracts
12. Lead and work with the CEO on development of an effective treasury and investment strategy
13. Ensure effective management of cashflow, through donor, debtor and creditor control management
14. Consider and propose any exposures or opportunities on foreign currency incoming or held
15. Manage complex international payment issues with banking institutions and effective foreign currency management
Experience Required:
16. Qualified ACA, ACCA OR CIMA - qualified by experience will be considered
17. Previous Charity/SORP accounting experience
18. Management and statutory accounting experience
19. Ideally some experience of making complex international payments
