Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Analytics and Data Insights Manager to join our IT team in a newly created role that will establish the foundational capabilities for enterprise-wide data insights and analytics. This position will be instrumental in transforming our data landscape from legacy reporting systems to a modern, self-service analytics platform that empowers business users across the organization. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Design and implement a comprehensive analytics and data insights strategy aligned with business objectives Partner with business stakeholders to identify analytics requirements and translate them into technical solutions Build and manage the analytics roadmap, prioritizing projects and features based on business value and technical feasibility Work closely with the master data team to establish data governance frameworks and best practices for data quality, security, and compliance Over time build a small but highly skilled analytics team to serve the needs of the business Establish an analytics and reporting community of practice across the business and lead the adoption of modern reporting capabilities Technical Implementation Architect and build a modern analytics technology stack leveraging Microsoft Fabric, SAP, and Power BI amongst other technologies Design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions using Microsoft Fabric Integrate manufacturing systems data (SAP) with enterprise analytics platform Create advanced dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics capabilities using Power BI Integrate SAP data sources with the broader analytics ecosystem Modernize and automate existing legacy reporting processes (Crystal reports) Required Qualifications Technical Expertise 5 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related field Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (or similar modern data platforms) and SAP Advanced proficiency in Power BI development Strong experience with SAP data extraction and integration Proficiency in SQL and database design principles Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes Leadership & Business Skills Proven track record of modernising analytics and reporting capabilities within a manufacturing business (with emphasis on sales/commercial data) Experience building analytics capabilities from the ground up with Microsoft and SAP technologies Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and industrial KPIs Strong business acumen with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Project management experience with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously Patience and a realisation that we want to move in the right direction but are at the stat of the journey Additional Requirements 3 years of experience in manufacturing industry or industrial operations Experience with data governance and data quality management Understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and operational metrics Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a relevant field Microsoft certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Power BI Data Analyst, Fabric Analytics Engineer) Experience with additional Microsoft tools (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, etc.) SAP certification or deep SAP technical knowledge Previous experience in a similar industry or business environment Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics techniques Understanding of IoT data integration and real-time manufacturing analytics Travel From time to time, you may be required to travel in order to participate in requirements gathering sessions with local business analysts and stakeholders at other sites.
