Job Title: Supply Chain Operative
Salary: £24,852.72 per annum

Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 37.5 (Monday to Friday – 7.30 AM to 4 PM)
Location: HMS Sultan, Napier House, Military Road, Gosport, Hampshire, England, PO12 3BY
Position Overview
Based at HMS Sultan in Gosport, the role primarily takes place in a storeroom environment. The post holder will be a versatile, customer‑focused Stores Operative who provides first‑class service to the Armed Forces. The incumbent will manage stored items to ensure optimum availability to the military community on site. Training can be provided where appropriate.
Main Duties
* Demand and issue specialist stores and clothing.
* Unload deliveries from vehicles, unpack goods and replenish stock.
* Review incoming deliveries against invoices to identify and resolve discrepancies.
* Maintain appropriate stock levels and conduct regular stocktaking to ensure compliance checks are accurate.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders and promote a high standard of customer service excellence.
* Adhere to all health and safety procedures, processes and legal requirements.
* Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager, including leading changes to support evolving business needs.

* Education: grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
* Willingness to undertake occasional local travel for absence cover.
* Knowledge of MOD Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) stores accounting applications is desirable; training can be provided.
Additional Information
Mandatory MOD security clearance and DBS Standard check. To meet national security vetting requirements you must be resident in the UK for at least 3 years for a Counter‑Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to application. All Developed‑Vetted posts require UK nationals. Proof of right to work in the UK is essential. Required to wear approved company work wear.
