We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant (Water) to join our team providing maintenance at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week from 07:00 to 15:30, Mon to Fri.
The role:
1. Reporting to the Shift Lead / M&E Supervisor
2. Daily maintenance and testing of water systems, as well as reactive tasks
3. Support the Water Technicians in remedial works to water systems
4. To order materials and services as required and update records
5. To oversee specialist sub-contractors
6. To cover for other technicians as necessary in various buildings
7. To participate in the on call rota and work to the demands of the business
8. Working 40 hours per week from 07:00-15:30, Mon to Fri.
The person:
9. Must have basic maintenance skills in either mechanical or electrical systems
10. Must have experience within building services and to have worked in an estates/facilities function, ideally in a healthcare setting
11. Desirable to have knowledge of Legionella and maintaining Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
12. Record water systems maintenance activities within Zeta Mobile digital application
13. Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
14. Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude
15. Maximo/CAFM experience would be desirable
16. Good IT skills
