Overview
A client of mine who is a Large Housing Association and Property Maintenance Company is looking to recruit an experienced Electrician to join their Property Maintenance Team in the Berkshire area on a permanent basis.
This role involves time on the road, so a company van and fuel card will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in customers' homes as part of the Electrical Team
* Carry out occupied and unoccupied rewires
* Undergo responsive repairs and works within planned teams in line with work schedules, IEE wiring regulations, and client standard procedures
* Estimate, requisition and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure satisfactory repairs and maintenance in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations
* Record and report on the status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates

Qualifications and Experience
* Experience within a similar role in Residential/Housing sector is ideal
* Minimum qualification: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition (BS7671) and City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect
Additional Information
* This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, with potential to supplement salary through call-out and overtime at competitive rates
* Candidates must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 2 years 0experience due to travel requirements
* Role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic disclosure
* As an Electrician, you will liaise with internal and external customers
