Summary
* This is a 2-3 month contract position with a local authority. The role involves supporting the Executive Head of Childcare in managing the day-to-day operations of childcare services within the Centre. The position is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality early education and childcare in line with EYFS standards. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of Centre policies and practices, and support staff in providing excellent childcare and fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning environment for all children.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the daily running and organization of childcare services.
* Provide leadership support to staff across rooms, ensuring quality and consistency.
* Coordinate external student placements, supervision, assessment, and reporting.
* Support the planning and delivery of educational visits and activities.
* Assist children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), attending assessments and EHCP planning meetings.
* Collaborate with staff and external professionals to ensure accurate implementation of healthcare plans.
* Ensure full compliance with safeguarding policies, including recognition, recording, and reporting of concerns.
Requirements
* Experience working within Early Years, providing an integrated service of education, care, and family support.
* Knowledge and experience of Ofsted inspections and regulatory requirements.
* Experience supervising staff and supporting their development.
* Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential).
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
Additional Information
* Working hours: 36 hours per week
* The role requires a DBS check.
* Bi-weekly payment schedule.
