Job Description
Carnival UK is seeking a Product Owner (Hotel Management System) to support the rollout of a new hotel management system across 11 ships in our P&O Cruises and Cunard fleet. This is a unique opportunity to be involved from the beginning of the product journey, collaborating with our sister brands to select and implement a future-proof HMS to replace the current platform. You will lead a continuous development program, working closely with the Product Director and stakeholders both on ships and ashore, to deliver regular value-adding features in partnership with your team, including business analysts, solution architects, developers, and testers.
You will define, communicate, and prioritize the product vision and backlog based on value, ensuring clarity and shared understanding. You will own specific features and manage relationships with business owners, refining user stories for development, and facilitating agile ceremonies. The roadmap will also address dependencies to improve the existing HMS.
Your Responsibilities Include:
1. Solution Selection: Participate in platform selection and procurement for the new hotel management system.
2. Backlog Management: Create and prioritize the development backlog, including business and technology changes.
3. Deployment and Improvement: Oversee the design, deployment, and subsequent enhancement phases.
4. Communication: Coordinate with senior management and ship teams to ensure smooth implementation.
Position Details
This role is classified as CUK Level 07, within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President). It is a full-time, permanent position with hybrid working options, including up to two days remote work per week.
Requirements: Your Expertise and Leadership
To succeed, candidates should have:
* Experience in hotel management, preferably within the cruise industry.
* Familiarity with Scrum or Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
* Knowledge of property or hotel management systems.
* Certified Agile or Product Management qualification.
