Our client, a global leader in industrial maintenance, is looking for a talented Electrically Biased Maintenance Technician to support operations at their Yeovil site. You’ll play a vital role in keeping advanced manufacturing systems running smoothly within a highly regulated and demanding environment.

The Role:
Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a strong focus on fault finding and repair
Diagnose and repair issues on single and three-phase systems, motors, and control equipment
Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics to support effective fault diagnosis
Perform electrical testing, installation, and basic PLC fault finding
Support mechanical repairs, including fabrication, welding (MIG & TIG), and machining when required
Maintain accurate records using CMMS systems
Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with health & safety standards

About You:
With previous experience working within heavy industry, you will be a multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical bias, demonstrating:
A recognised Level 3 electrical qualification
Proven electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and repair skills, including work on single and three-phase systems
Ability to test, maintain, and repair motors, control panels, and electrical equipment
Competent in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams
Experience or working knowledge of PLC fault finding and diagnostics (preferred)
Strong understanding of electrical systems, control circuits, and industrial automation
Solid mechanical maintenance capability to support plant operations when required
Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Experience using tools, workshop machinery, and maintenance equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
This role would suit someone who has worked as a Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, or Shift Engineer with strong mechanical capabilities.
