Children's Residential Support Worker Location: Pwllheli Salary: Up to £32,617.00 per annum Hours: Full-time, permanent (37.5 hours/week) Type of home: 4 bed CSE Girls Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and an average of two sleep-ins per week (included in salary) Sleep-In Rate: £55 per sleep-in (included in total salary package) Voluntary Overtime Available Make a Difference Every Day with Your Chapter At Your Chapter, we are a specialist provider of residential care and education, committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and young people who have experienced complex trauma and abuse. As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll be part of a passionate and dedicated team working together to provide stability, support, and inspiration to young people when they need it most. What You’ll Be Doing As a Residential Support Worker, your role will include: * Supporting daily routines: Supporting children with personal care, meal preparation, and daily activities to help them develop independence * Educational support: Encouraging and supporting children in their learning journey, assisting with homework, and helping them develop new skills * Leading recreational activities: Organising and leading recreational activities, including fun events and holidays, to increase engagement and enhance well-being. * Emotional support: Providing guidance, care, and person-centered support to help children navigate difficult moments * Documentation: Completing care plans, reports, and maintaining accurate records. * Maintaining a safe environment: Ensuring the home is clean, secure, and well-organised * Team collaboration: Working closely with colleagues to create a positive, nurturing environment Every day is unique, with opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of the children you care for. What We’re Looking For We are seeking individuals who are: * Caring and Compassionate: A genuine passion for making a positive impact on vulnerable children’s lives * Resilient: Able to handle emotionally demanding situations and provide stability to children in need * Team-Oriented: Comfortable working as part of a collaborative and supportive team * Communicative: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, colleagues, and external partners * Motivated: Committed to providing high-quality care and working toward the best outcomes for children and young people * Flexible: Willing to work shifts that include evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins Previous experience in residential care is preferred but not essential—we provide full training to support your success in the role.
