Complex Care Assistant Job Overview
* Location: Whitstable, Kent
* Hourly Rate: £15.00 to £16.83 per hour
* Shifts available: Tuesday to Friday, waking nights 10:00pm to 7:00am
There will also be availability to cover annual leave and sickness with potential respite cover during days (including weekends). This may include support both at home and when accessing community, so flexibility is essential.
Please note that you will need to be available to carry out day shifts initially, in order to get to know the family before commencing the night shift.
Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Assistant
* Previous care experience is essential
* Due to the wishes of the family, we are only considering applications from female carers
* Full UK driving licence

About the Role:
Continuity of Care Services is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Assistant to support our 50s male client living with complex health conditions and learning disabilities. Our client is non- verbal and has cerebral palsy, again experience is beneficial but not essential. You will be offering companionship and emotional support to our vulnerable service user in the comfort of his own home. He requires patient and reassuring carer who can assist him with personal care and getting him ready for a good night sleep. Our client enjoys watching various sports before bed time including snooker, darts, F1 and boxing, so sharing the same sports interest would be beneficial. Before you begin, you will have the opportunity to meet your client and his family to shadow existing staff and to ensure you are well prepared for the role.

Skills training specific to the individuals needs will be provided by Continuity Training Academy.
