About The Role
Reporting to the Regional SHEQ Manager and a key member of the SHEQ Team, SHEQ Coordinators are responsible for leading and driving a culture that prioritizes health, safety, and environmental responsibility for employees, contractors, customers, and partners. This involves ensuring the workforce understands their responsibilities and is empowered to take action when necessary. The role also includes developing, building, and executing proactive and sustainable hazard risk management systems aligned with business objectives to monitor safety, health, environmental quality, and corporate risk, aiming for hazard control, zero injuries, and autonomous safety.
Key Accountabilities
1. Work under the direction of the Regional SHEQ Manager to achieve business objectives.
2. Assist and drive plans for SHEQ-related activities to ensure excellent health, safety, and environmental performance.
3. Ensure all accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformities are properly reported and investigated according to company procedures.
4. Maintain accident report files, incident files, investigation reports, corrective actions, and related safety documentation.
5. Produce monthly performance reports for the health, safety, and environment departments.
6. Develop relationships with operational leaders and contribute to functional developments to ensure full compliance with group requirements.
7. Review and create SHEQ documents such as risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH assessments.
8. Develop and maintain the business unit’s management systems.
9. Manage document control for management systems.
10. Conduct and document environmental checks on operational sites.
11. Organize external surveys and assessments, ensuring records of corrective actions are maintained.
12. Manage the contractor control database and ensure all documents are up-to-date.
13. Manage the off-taker waste destination list and maintain relevant documentation.
Experience And Skills
1. Experience in a similar role is beneficial; however, other relevant experience will be considered.
2. Qualified to IOSH Managing Safely.
3. NEBOSH General Certificate or willingness to obtain it.
4. Self-motivated and confident.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
6. Full Driving Licence.
