About the Role A developing Independent School in Brent is seeking a creative and skilled Design & Technology Teacher specialising in Engineering for a permanent, full-time position starting in September. The successful Design & Technology Teacher (Engineering) will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their understanding of engineering principles and practical skills. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and effective Design & Technology Teacher (Engineering) lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE Design & Technology with a focus on Engineering. Develop students' understanding of engineering concepts, materials, and design processes. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback as a Design & Technology Teacher (Engineering). Contribute to the ongoing development of the Design & Technology curriculum, specifically within Engineering. Maintain a safe and effective workshop environment for engineering activities. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology, ideally with a focus on Engineering. Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4), with experience in Engineering. Strong practical skills and knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and design. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
