SEN Tribunal & Mediation Officer
A local authority in East London is seeking an experienced SEN Tribunal & Mediation Officer to join their team on an interim basis.
Location: East London
Duration: 3 months (initial)
Hours: 35 per week
Rate: £41.10 per hour (Umbrella) £29.79 PAYE (exclusive)
The Role:
You will support the SEN tribunal and mediation service, managing casework from preparation through to hearing stage. This includes liaising with families, schools, legal representatives, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, fair, and compliant resolution of disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage SEN tribunal cases
Support mediation processes and pre-hearing coordination
Maintain accurate case records and documentation
Work closely with education and legal teams
Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and proceduresAbout You:
Proven experience in SEN tribunal casework or tribunal support
Strong understanding of mediation and dispute resolution
Excellent case management and organisational skills
Experience within a local authority or education/legal setting
