About the opportunity: Across our Academy the welfare and support for our young players is at the forefront of everything we do, and because of this a unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our Academy Player Care Department as Academy Player Care Officer. Reporting to the Head of Academy Education and Player Care, you will be responsible for providing off the field support to Academy players and lead on the personal development / life skills programme that we run across our Academy, ensuring a positive Academy experience for boys and their parents. Other key responsibilities include: Supporting the Head of Academy Education and Player Care in enhancing the Academy experience for all boys, by being a point of contact for them and their parents Establishing mechanisms for gathering the views of Academy players and their parents to ensure the Academy experience is a positive one Ensuring all players and their families are formally inducted into the Academy Building on the current framework to develop and deliver an outstanding Personal Development/Life Skills programme, which is differentiated and meets the needs of all boys Design and delivery of a Parent Education Curriculum that makes use of the Academy’s multi-disciplinary teams Supporting the transition away from the Club for those boys not offered further registrations Supporting the transition of U16 players into their full-time scholarship programmes You will contribute towards the efficient and effective functioning of the department, influencing administrative process’ and ensuring a best-in-class service. Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are looking for somebody with experience of delivering curriculum content alongside welfare matters in a pastoral environment, alongside excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, who places high value on attention to detail. You must be comfortable working with a wide variety of demands and be flexible enough to support our young players across competitive fixtures. We need someone who possesses the ability to work discreetly under pressure, and is a passionate, energised team player who embraces opportunities to collaborate with a broader diverse team. This role is on a permanent bases working 40 hours per week, with evening and weekend work, and is based within Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood).
