Who we are
Kanso is a boutique marketing effectiveness consultancy.
We collaborate with some of the world’s best-known brands – helping them to understand the true impact of their marketing – working together to answer specific marketing-related questions and planning more effective marketing strategies.
We use techniques such as econometric modelling to build a detailed understanding of every marketing component and all the influencing factors. This is called Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM). We then relate what our models are showing us to what is happening in the real world. Using this deep insight, we work with clients to accurately forecast the impact of future campaigns.
Kanso analyses all elements of marketing, from the performance of brand and direct advertising, to price and promotional optimisation, to seasonal highs and lows in demand, all within the context of the wider world – from climate change to the rising cost of living.
Thoughtful, logical analysis is at the heart of what we do - we thrive on complex challenges, solving problems by exploring new ideas, advancing techniques and paying great attention to detail.
Despite the complexity of our work, our main aim is to communicate this analysis in an easily understandable and actionable way; enabling our clients to more effectively plan their marketing programmes and strategies.
We’d like you to join us in developing and adding to these approaches - we are looking for someone with an enquiring mind, a keen attention to detail, and who thrives on using data to solve marketing problems for our clients.
What you’ll be doing
The role of Graduate Analyst will be to support the rest of the team to produce outstanding marketing evaluation for our clients, including, but not limited to:
· Process data accurately and efficiently using Excel and R, using all the right checks to ensure consistency
· Conduct exploratory data analysis in Excel to uncover insights and ask the right questions
· Research and gather relevant publicly available data to support your analysis
· Formulate hypotheses about what might be driving sales, or other metrics of particular interest to the client
· Create clear and effective data visualisations to communicate thoughts and findings within the team
· Support the team in building models using EViews — there’s plenty to learn, and we don’t expect you to know it all yet
· Create clear, compelling PowerPoint slides to help tell a data-driven story and start to present sections of presentations to clients
· Complete formal training to build your technical, analytical and communication skills
· Help manage databases and keep file storage systems clean and organized
· Communicate clearly on a day-to-day basis with the team and junior client contacts via email and teams
· Get involved in internal development projects alongside your day-to-day work
· Share your specialist knowledge and any learning with the team to help everyone grow
