Fundraising Assistant
Location: Edinburgh
Type: Part time, 26 hours
Salary: £26k - £30k (Pro Rata)
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS PART TIME, FLEXIBLE - 26 HOURS ACROSS THE WORKING WEEK.
We’re working with a leading mental health charity to recruit a proactive and organised Fundraising Assistant. This role supports a busy fundraising and communications function, ensuring campaigns, events and supporter engagement activities run smoothly and to a high standard.
You’ll help deliver excellent donor care, manage accurate fundraising records, and produce clear reports to inform future activity. This is a great opportunity to gain experience across community, corporate and digital fundraising while supporting a cause that makes a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a first point of contact for supporters, donors and fundraising enquiries
* Manage thank-you communications and supporter acknowledgements
* Maintain accurate donor and campaign data within the CRM system
* Coordinate logistics for fundraising events and community activities
* Support the creation of campaign materials in collaboration with the communications team
* Monitor timelines to ensure campaigns and events stay on track
* Process donations accurately and in line with fundraising regulations and Gift Aid requirements
* Produce income and performance reports for the fundraising manager
* Ensure all fundraising activities are compliant with relevant standards and GDPR
* Contribute to continuous improvement of fundraising systems and processes
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in fundraising, supporter care or a similar administrative role within the charity or not-for-profit sector
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases/CRM systems and fundraising xsngvjr platforms
* Attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and financial information
* Understanding of donor stewardship and supporter journeys

Additional Information
