We are currently seeking volunteers for two roles: Gallery Assistants and Information Assistants. These positions involve both indoor and outdoor work, so please let us know if you have a preference.

You should enjoy being part of a small team, be eager to learn and share your knowledge, and have time to regularly commit to supporting the Art Foundation.

Gallery Assistants
Gallery Assistants play a key role in creating a positive visitor experience. You will be on hand to provide information about the artworks, the landscape, and the events programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Offering a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors, both in the galleries and throughout the landscape
* Assisting visitors by providing information and answering questions about the sculptures and installations on display
* Being vigilant around the artworks to help prevent any loss or damage
* Supporting visitors in making the most of their experience, including offering information about the grounds and Café 24
* Monitoring the standards within the building and landscape, and reporting any concerns to the Operations Manager
* Reporting any Health and Safety concerns to the Operations Manager
* Assisting with special events and performances
* Maintaining good health and safety practices, and liaising with the Operations Manager in the event of an emergency
Information Assistants
Information Assistants also play a vital role in enhancing the visitor experience. You will be the first point of contact for guests, providing guidance, directions, and support.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Greeting visitors in a warm and friendly manner upon arrival in the car park
* Offering guidance on accessible parking and Electric Vehicle Charger (EVC) facilities
* Directing visitors to the main arrival area, The Gallery, and other points of interest across the Goodwood Art Foundation
* Being vigilant around artworks to help prevent loss or damage
* Monitoring the landscape and reporting any concerns to the Operations Manager
* Reporting any Health and Safety issues to the Operations Manager
* Assisting with special events and performances
* Maintaining good health and safety practices, and coordinating with the Operations Manager during emergencies
We are looking for volunteers who:
* Are good communicators who enjoy meeting people and being part of a team
* Have a can-do attitude – you’re flexible and happy to go the extra mile to help visitors
* Understand the importance of excellent customer service and are committed to delivering a positive experience for every visitor
* Have an interest in art and the environment
* Pay attention to detail – you know what “good” looks like
* Can commit to volunteering regularly
* Are smart and presentable at all times
