The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
* Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technicians.
* Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance.
* Work closely with operations to meet quality standards related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
* Ensure timely and safe completion of maintenance activities, collaborating with Planning & Scheduling and Site Engineers to enhance plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards during all work activities.
* Manage daily operations of the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
* Monitor work progress, manage work order closures in the CMMS, and handle priority tasks from defect identification to completion.
* Oversee administrative functions such as timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary actions, and deputies for the Maintenance Manager.
* Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules.
* Participate in Root Cause Analyses and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
* Provide first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
* Contribute to continuous improvement activities, especially regarding PMs and equipment maintenance.
SHEQ
* Ensure all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met during maintenance tasks.
* Promote a positive safety culture within the team.
* Ensure work is carried out safely, adhering to company guidelines.
* Report accidents, near misses, and safety improvements.
Equipment Management
* Ensure timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
* Supervise Maintenance Mechanical Technicians, prioritizing work according to site needs.
* Coordinate with OEM contractors for inspections and future PM planning.
