CUSTOMER SERVICES - IT’S A PEOPLE THING
Are you someone who can start a conversation in an empty room? One of those people who always manages to get things done, no matter how much there is to do? If the answer is yes, there’s a place in our Customer Service team for you.
As a Customer Service Advisor you’ll be doing one of the most important jobs in our business: looking after our customers. This means building relationships, understanding what they do, how they do it, and how we can help them do it better. You’ll deliver a best-in-class service while using product knowledge to maximise upselling opportunities. Your days will involve communicating with customers by telephone, email and website requests, coordinating transport and mapping routes for drivers. You’ll manage an order from enquiry to post-hire feedback, create invoices and handle purchase orders, taking ownership of the customer journey and building relationships with regular customers.
You’ll need to think on your feet and use your initiative to ensure we deliver the best experience for customers and continually improve our service. This is a hands-on, highly operational, service-focused business area where industry experience is welcomed but not essential.

About You
We’ll provide you with what you need to succeed and discuss training and development needs to support your future aspirations. To succeed in this vacancy you should bring the following skills and behaviours:
* Proven experience in a Customer Service role, preferably handling inbound order/sales enquiries and completing transactions to satisfy customers
* Experience in the hire or construction industry is advantageous but not essential
* Experience in developing and utilising product knowledge and an eagerness to understand our product range and the wider Sunbelt business
* Exceptional communication skills including negotiating and influencing; able to engage and build relationships with internal and external customers
* Ability to use judgement and initiative to make decisions in line with company policies and pricing structures
* Collaborative team member with a supportive approach
* Flexible and adaptable; able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced operational environment with multiple tasks and deadlines
* A commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to suggest and implement process improvements
* Good level of computer literacy in MS Office; comfortable learning new IT systems and using technology in the role
