Job Description
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride, providing natural service.
* Encouraging customers to give feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Ensuring accurate clocking in and out for proper payment.
* Maintaining safety by following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining your actions to customers.
* Keeping the store tidy and organized, ensuring aisles are clear.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of managers.
* Following all training to keep everyone safe and compliant.
If the store has a Post Office Local, duties will include post office operations, requiring passing a background check. If checks fail, the job offer will be withdrawn.
