Role: Health and Safety Advisor Location: Oxford Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, Days The Role We’re supporting a well-established civil engineering contractor in their search for a hands-on Health and Safety Advisor across the Oxford region. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving safe working practices on live sites, supporting project teams, and ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards. Key Responsibilities * Conduct site visits, inspections, and internal audits to ensure compliance * Advise teams on safe working practices, legislation updates, and compliance expectations * Lead incident and accident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented * Prepare and review RAMS, COSHH assessments, and Construction Phase Plans * Work closely with clients, regulatory bodies, and insurers on project-specific safety issues * Support pre-construction planning to ensure safety is built into every project * Maintain and improve company safety systems and accreditations * Deliver briefings, toolbox talks, and mentor junior safety staff * Identify opportunities to improve procedures and raise overall safety standards What You’ll Bring * NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Health & Safety * CSCS card * Experience in construction, groundworks,...
