A prestigious international law firm is seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its market-leading Structured and Project Finance team. This is a rare opportunity to work on some of the most high-profile and complex energy and infrastructure finance transactions in the UK and internationally.
The Role
You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team advising on the full lifecycle of project finance transactions. The work spans development, financing, refinancing, and M&A across renewable energy, infrastructure, and low-carbon sectors. Clients include major banks, infrastructure funds, energy developers, and DFIs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and support on high-value project finance transactions across the UK and emerging markets.
2. Advise on structuring, negotiation, and documentation of complex financing arrangements.
3. Collaborate with cross-border teams on international mandates.
4. Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
Recent Highlights
5. £235m financing of a major UK battery energy storage project – the largest of its kind in Europe.
6. Portfolio financing of multiple onshore wind and anaerobic digestion projects.
7. Advisory roles on infrastructure acquisitions, port developments, and green finance initiatives across Africa and Europe.
Candidate Profile
8. 7+ years PQE with a strong background in project or structured finance.
9. Experience gained at a leading commercial law firm with a focus on energy or infrastructure.
10. Excellent academic credentials and strong communication skills.
11. A team player with a proactive and commercial approach.
