About the Role
Reporting to the Headteacher and Nursery Manager, this role will plan, organise and deliver activities and create learning experiences for a group of children aged between three and five years old. To work within an anti-discriminatory and inclusive environment and support the team to facilitate the all-round development of all children, enabling them to reach their full potential.
Stapleford Primary School, part of the high-performing Anglian Learning Multi-Academy Trust, is looking to appoint a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our supportive and dedicated nursery team.
Main Responsibilities
You will play a vital role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing by:
* Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
* Observing, assessing, and recording children's progress to inform future planning
* Working within a key-person system, building strong partnerships with parents and carers
* Supporting children's behaviour, routines, and individual needs, including SEND
* Ensuring high standards of safeguarding, health, safety, and hygiene
* Contributing positively to staff meetings, training, outings, and whole-school events
You will also support the wider academy through teamwork, supervision duties, and maintaining a safe, welcoming learning environment.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
Has strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development
Understands safeguarding and child protection
Builds positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Is proactive, flexible, emotionally resilient, and committed to teamwork
Is eager to learn and develop professionally
(First Aid qualification desirable; training opportunities available.)
