Nuclear Safety Assessor
Location: Cumbria or Cheshire Hybrid / remote working also available
A long-established consultancy firm operating in the nuclear and high-hazard sectors is looking to expand its specialist Risk and Safety team. They are seeking aNuclear Safety Assessorto support the delivery of high-quality safety cases and advisory services across the full lifecycle of nuclear projects.

As a Nuclear Safety Assessor, youll work under the guidance of senior consultants, engaging directly with project teams, plant operators, and safety specialists to develop coherent, defensible safety case documentation.
What youll do:
* Prepare fit-for-purpose nuclear safety documentation.
* Support hazard identification and risk assessment activities.
* Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including Human Factors, Fire Safety, Radiological Shielding, and Environmental specialists.
* Represent the consultancy professionally with clients and stakeholders.
* Contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.
Your Background:
Were looking for technically capable, motivated individuals with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic consultancy setting.
* Experience in nuclear safety or a related high-hazard industry.
* A relevant degree (e.g. Physics, Mechanical/Chemical/Control/Electrical Engineering).
* Familiarity with UK nuclear safety assessment techniques and regulatory framework.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Eligibility for security clearance due to the nature of the work.
* A flexible and proactive approach to project delivery.
